November 16, 2009 - Digicom Electronics, Inc., was recently presented with its ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certificates from Intertek, affirming that Digicom's operations adhere to internationally-recognized standards for quality management.
"Having started Digicom Electronics in 1982," says CEO Mo Ohady, "quality has been my overarching principle in the way I select and manage employees, design the facility, and interact with customers - electronics companies in the industrial, medical, telecom, computing, and aerospace industries. It's rewarding to have received certification to two standards."
The titles for the two international standards are as follows: ISO 9001:2008 is titled "Quality management systems - Requirements." ISO 13485:2003 is titled "Medical devices - Quality management systems - Requirements for regulatory purposes."
Ohady says that an impetus for Digicom and its employees to attain ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certifications was to raise awareness of the company's global competitiveness. "Our customers hail from Silicon Valley and other North American locations; we are pleased that receiving these two certifications has enlarged the scope of requests for quotations from OEMs seeking high-quality manufacturing services."
Ohady concludes, "This is a landmark achievement for which all of our employees can take pride in accomplishing."
