Our History

Digicom Electronics was founded in 1982 and built on many years of experience in electronics manufacturing and operations management. In March 2012 we moved to a new, larger and environmentally friendly facility in Oakland, California, USA (in the Bay Area near San Francisco). Digicom customers can now take advantage of Digicom’s new Diamond Track Process and have access to the most technologically advanced equipment and services. Digicom is certified for AS9100:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 Quality Management system, and quality system regulation 21 CFR 820. Digicom Electronics offers advanced electronics manufacturing with “Made in the USA Quality” that fits the needs of larger enterprises while at the same time providing the benefits and individual attention needed to serve start-up companies. Digicom collaborates in all aspects of the process from design to the final, fully compliant product. Material procurement and management services include planning, purchasing, expediting and warehousing of components and materials.

“We have made it our mission to make sure that our processes produce the cleanest boards possible ,” Said CEO Digicom. “We have done extensive research and many experiments to come up with our cleaning process. We recently had our boards inspected by an independent lab. When we got the results back we couldn’t understand them; our score wasn’t on the chart. We were told that our boards were 75% cleaner than the highest level of clean according to IPC cleanliness standards and a subsequent analysis for ions showed absolutely zero contamination of the boards, and we are still working to improve our process.”

A post graduate in Finance & Marketing from Delhi University & Masters in Computer Science. Has been spearheading the Business Development activities for Kaynes in India and abroad for more than two decades. Has developed expertise in understanding the Indian EMS environment and leveraging its strengths for Transfer of Manufacturing Technology in Build to Print format from Europe and U.S.A. Currently responsible for Building Business in North America.
With a background in engineering and a passion for innovation, David has built a career at the intersection of technology and impact. He has worked with leading global teams, including a pivotal role at Amazon developing Alexa-enabled devices. Over the years, he has led projects spanning AR/VR, smart toys, solar energy, wireless systems, and portable medical devices. Grounded in a strong foundation in electronics manufacturing, David is currently focused on driving innovation and building strategic partnerships for Digicom across global markets.

Premita Ramesh is the Operations Head and Board Member at Digicom Electronics. An Industrial Engineering graduate from NIE, Mysore, she brings close to seven years of leadership experience at Kaynes Technology India Limited, the parent company of Digicom Electronics Inc. At Kaynes, she played a key role in project management, human resources, and digital transformation initiatives within the EMS sector.

At Digicom, Premita leads production planning, supply chain optimization, quality management, and process improvements, while also spearheading the implementation of ERP systems to streamline operations and enable scalable manufacturing.
